Brad & Wayne:
after I posted earlier, went over to my sons computer with Norton on it and no malware or virus detected by that system here.
Back on my Mac now, and the warning no longer appears. Strange, I had never had anything like that on this site before.

OK... I admit I am not as versed with PS as some here, but this thread caught my attention as I am taking a class this semester at the local college. I am using this as a start for my self directed assignment:

My goal is to "shop" the most realistic and believable (not that the TC with the space shuttle is not...LOL)... but rather than be "fantastical" I want to create something that perhaps could be build. I took inspiration from the Super Singles posting as my start... I eventually want to make (over time) what a real world composition as to the end potential for what my set-up could be.
Right now I only added fender flares with bumper up front and tires. I would like to clean this image up more, ad better shadows, and perhaps add a diamond plate back pack saddle tool box between the camper and cab.

I'm a little late jumping into this thread, but here is a try.
There are plug-in programs for Photoshop, which have various filter effects. Some are very practical while some are quite wild. Here are some samples of the crazy stuff:

Original unfiltered.

"Painting"

"Psychedelic"

"Bleach Bypass

This is an extreme "High Pass", about the same as Bleach

"Solarization"

"Old Photo"

Now, back in my great grand-pappy's days, dry camping capacity was very important.
He always said "We bought that Arctic Fox brand new back in 1875. Those cold nights were a lot warmer in there than everyone else in them covered wagons."
He did say it was quite a load for 2 horses to pull though.

Boy Clattertruck, very psychedelic! Gotta love those plug-ins,
Boatycall, now that's good stuff. I like the "noise" added to fit in with the old picture. Your great grand pappy wasn't just a whoofin either, poor horses. If you had a GMC it would be pulling the horses.
