My only negative was living in Torrance for 40 years. That was rectified 12 years ago. LOL

We are in Everglade City for the annual Seafood Festival. About 30 coaches from RiverBend have all come down and perched at the Everglades Isle Resort. Fun, fun all weekend.

I have a long laundry list of things I'm looking forward to:

- Going on "Trek 2012" which is what my brother and I are calling our maiden voyage from Vancouver BC to Northern Ontario, via the USA.

- Not having to wear "dress up" clothes every day to go to work

- Not having to wake up to an alarm every day

- Only having to clean up 240 square feet of space, instead of the condo

- Meeting new people

- Seeing/doing new things

- Clearing some items off my bucket list (100 items start with "Go To...."

- Living like a gypsy

Things I'm a little worried about but intend to ignore:

- I'm a little worried about fuel costs. I've budgeted $2000 to go 2500 miles. I'm hoping that's enough.

- Personal safety - single woman, travelling alone (except for the Trek)

Things I'm not looking forward to:

Ummmm..... let me think...... Mosquitoes!!! I figure I'll be chasing Spring and Summer for the next few years (every day is a Saturday, every month is July). It'll be perpetual mosquito season. I'll stock up on DEET.

A guy told me once that it doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty, as long as there is whiskey in it.

I'm a senior citizen, BUT it's so GREAT to be in good-enough health to allow me to keep working on my motorhome. AND, my friend owns a RV park right on the Colorado River(TX), and he welcomes me to plug into 50 amp box next to his house. He has a bassboat and launch ramp that I can use. I can also use one of his new Ford pickups. NOW, THAT'S affordable RVing.

Don't take life too seriously...you're not about to get out of it alive.

That's been my motto since I was a kid.

I overpaid my taxes and am getting a fairly large return.

I'm adjusting how much I pay this year to keep from getting a huge return next year.
