Can you all help me with suggestions on where to sale a RV?

What guidelines should I use to determine the selling price?

RV TRader....trailer life has ads in it...craigslist...local paper....

AS far as what to ask...check NADA...you will more than likely get less, but you will have a ball park figure...

A park & Sell lot that has other RVs and a good location on a busy road has worked for me in the past.

Sold our 2010 Nomad TT yesterday on local Craig's List in one day.

Now we wait until mid-March to pick up our 2012 Jayco Pinnacle36KPTS.

Good luck with your selling.

Sold two TTs on local Craigslist - got an idea of how to price using the NADA guides. You can also post flyers in public places, email friends with info & ask that they pass it along to anyone who may be interested......

What others said above. I successfully sold a Class A and bought our current FW on CL. I would not hesitate to use eBay, either. With both, you have to be very careful. There are scammers out there. CL tends to be local, and I generally don't provide my phone number, and never my address, in the ad. If someone sends me an inquiry thru CL, and even then, if their inquiry looks suspicious (and sometimes they do), I'll ask for their contact info first. If someone is not willing to look at your unit and only wants to communicate from afar or anonymously, dump 'em quickly. However, there are sites that can look up all CL listings nationwide, so you might find a looker that is willing to travel some distance for the right unit, so you might not want to dismiss them quickly, and this applies to eBay, too.

I have never had an unsuccessful deal thru either site, but again, be very careful. With eBay, you can see the buyer/seller success rate, and how many times they've bought/sold. As far as pricing, just remember the value of your unit is determined by the buyer, especially in this economy. Everyone is looking for a deal. I always suggest to people to get over insulting people with low offers. The potential buyer never knows what the seller's bottom line is unless they tell you upfront. Unless the seller gets totally irked at a low offer, the buyer can always negotiate up until they hit their own limit.

I only use NADA or Kelly for comparisons between units. I've been looking semi-seriously at FWs lately, and the asking prices, both dealer and private seller, are all over the place and rarely near book values. I would try to research your unit all over the country to see what people are asking, and then set your price according to what you need to get, and then expect to wait a long time for that right buyer to come along. A lot of people are hurting out there.

We used Craigslist to sell our past RVs. All three sold quickly by "cash only." We also sold over $2,000 worth of stuff when we lightened our load (of stuff that accumulated over the years both in the house and in the outbuilding.)

I have sold RV's on Craigslist too... NADA has a free site..

With Craigslist, you can also post your ad in other cities too... As an example, we used Portland and Seattle.. Use pictures and keep the RV clean and ready to show..

We have also sold on the Escapee's forum website... Both are free and you don't have to be an Escapee member to use their forum..
