I heard that Interstate discontinued their U2200 6V Golf cart batteries on another forum. So I sent an email to Interstate to find out the facts. This is the reply I received.
Thank you for contacting the home office of Interstate Battery.
The battery part number that replaces the U2200 is “GC2-XHD”.
The reason for the change in the part number is that Interstate Battery changed the company that makes our golf cart batteries for us. Our golf cart batteries are now made by another battery manufacturer which makes golf cart batteries that (according to extensive testing) have an even higher level of quality and useful life.

I have used the U2200 and have been very satisfied, having replaced 4 last March. Assuming higher level of quality and life, sounds like good to me, when I need replacement.

Well, just checked with our local Interstate battery center here in Vegas and got a quote of $132 + tax & your old battery. They're sure getting pretty proud of their product...
We have 6 batteries in our coach and with a purchase of 6 got a quote of $117 per battery + tax etc. still a lot of money

I'm pretty certain that the batteries were made by US Battery but there are very few companies that actually manufacture 6V deep cycle. Trojan maybe???
I'm sure happy with the Interstate/US Battery in my MH as they have lasted ~10 years.....granted now a bit weak but still great life.

I posted the exact reply then sent. Most battery companies do not mention who makes them for private labeling.
Check Prices on their website site,http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_eS........umber,N~2147384911-2147384722-2147384906.
