If you can afford a ticket to the Super Bowl, you can afford the high prices that go with it.

I went to one Super Bowl - in 1981. I think I paid $40 for the ticket (I was a season ticket holder for the Eagles, who lost badly to the Raiders). I don't know how much parking was in New Orleans, since I took the bus - from Philly to New Orleans and back. FWIW, "Face Value" is $800-$1200 this year.

Can you stay all week? If you arrive the 29th and stay through the 6th, it's less than $40 a night. Still a bit steep for dry camping, but it's the Super Bowl. I wonder if they'll let the Honey Wagon stop by.
