Here is what I got when I googled:

Pentagon Federal Credit Union ABA Routing Number
Routing Number:256078446
Pentagon Federal Credit Union
P O BOX 1432
ALEXANDRIA, VA 22313
Pentagon Federal Credit Union's routing number (the leftmost number on the bottom of a check) is 256078446.

Is this correct? Now if they were asking for my bank account number, that would be a different story.

Best Regards,
Norm

...the .06 cents per gallon discount was too tempting. Can I get diesel cheaper somewhere else? Sometimes yes, but when hauling my fiver, I need the convenience of a truck stop and I'm not going to haul it around on surface streets looking to save a penny or two per gallon...
I agree that the discount card was a great idea. However, at $0.06/gal off diesel, only brings them in to about about the same as the majors, and almost $0.05/gal higher than competitive discounters.

I use to shop at Pilot all the time. But once diesel prices increased a few weeks before the program was announced, I have not had a reason to go back.

As far as shopping for diesel, I use YP on droid and it shows me the cheapest diesel in the area. Too bad it does not show the which ones to saddle up to with your rig, but it does not take long to learn how to tell.

A good reason to avoid those truck stops. We too, use the Pen Fed rewards card and get the 5% off on gas and diesel. And, they take the amount right off your bill, so you don't have to wait for a check or get a gift card. We love it. We just don't buy fuel at places where you can't swipe at the pump. The fuel stations are making it harder and harder to fill up any more.

x2 on pen fed. I have yet to find at a station that I couldn't swipe at the pump. Yes, if your going over the $125 that is typical around here, you will need to swipe more than once, but no big deal for me. They credit your account for the months purchases before they send the bill, so you get the discount in advance of making payment.

The Flying J in Yuma, AZ, doesn't allow pay at the pump. Something about "too many thefts." But, that's the only one I've run into like that.

We have a Flying J Frequent Fueler Card. I run my PenFed card through the pump, then my Frequent Fueler Card. The Frequent Fueler Card gives me the "Cash Price" even though I'm using my credit card; and the PenFed card gives me a 5% discount, paid automatically as a credit to my account. The difference between the "Cash Price" and the "Credit Price" amounts to about what Good Sam has "negotiated" for it's members.... I'll keep using my method.

Wow!...so much misinformation posted on here. First off, the Good Sam/Flying J venture offers a CHARGE CARD. They have been around for years. Has anyone ever heard of AMERICAN EXPRESS......they have had charge cards forever. Difference between charge cards and credit cards.....Charge cards require full payment every month, whereas credit cards allow you to either pay in full or make a minimum payment and float the balance. Secondly, Flying J has a Frequent Fueler card available for FREE but it must be registered at any cashier before it can be used at the pump. Once registered, you pull up to the pump and swipe ONLY the FF card. The pump will verify your card then authorize you to pump. Once finished, pull forward out of the truckers way and go inside to pay, either cash, credit or charge card. Pretty simple. Once you swipe your FF card and it's verified, the price on the pump will automatically change to reflect your discount....IMHO..it's not rocket science...... We use the PenFed card to pay after swiping the FF card at the pump....Dennis

Are you saying they are not asking for a social security number and bank routing number? If I choose to apply for a credit card or debit card I would furnish a social security number. A bank routing number???? Not a chance. Duh, why shouldn't I just post my bank routing number on the forum?
Bank routing numbers are public information. My bank routing number is 022307820. So what does that get you??? Nothing. Your checking account number is on every check you pay to someone. It can go through several hands before returning to your bank, and they all have access to your information. Big deal!

When the "new" Good Sam Club sent me my member card converting my Camping World Discount card to a Good Sam Club membership, I looked at the feature of "Good Sam members get a discount at Pilot/Flying J", and I thought that now all you need to do is show your Good Sam Card and not a Pilot/Flying J RV card. I went to the Good Sam website to get the details. That sent me to Pilot/Flying J and a special page for Good Sam members - there was the offer - only available by applying for and using a special Pilot/Flying J credit card! I don't need another credit card. I have only been a Good Sam member for three weeks and I have not found any feature worth anything. The old Pilot/Flying J RV card still is offered for free - not a credit card - and while the discount is a penny or so less a gallon, it is good enough, if you like going to Pilot/Flying J. So much for special offers from Good Sam!

I used to use Flying J almost exclusivesly in my commercial travels. After Pilot bought them out, hardly ever. They are not competitive in most areas for fuel prices, and they have gone the way of the Pilot stations, not so clean. Since I am not a hostage to truck stops, like 18 wheelers are, I can pretty much go anywhere. I google the lowest prices, find a station that doesn't take me too far off my route, and use my PenFed card. I bought a little more than $23,000 worth of diesel last year, which resulted in over $1100 in cash back rewards. To me, that is real money. I pay my card off in full each month and do not pay interest. Not only that, I am not chained to the Pilot/Flying J network.

How do I apply for this Pen-Fed card? Someone please private message me. I'm tired of the hassle of multiple swipes, and or $ limits per day for diesel fuel!

Go to www.penfed.org and click on "Apply Now" for the third card down, the "Visa® Platinum Cash Rewards Card". If you don't qualify under one of the regular military categories, you'll be given the opportunity to join one of a couple of military family support groups for one year to qualify. You do not need to renew the membership after that.
