I'm looking to buy a new couch and I don't like having a dinette, so I'm looking at some ideas to replace both. I'm located in Yuma and found a website of a company in PHX. They have a large couch that would replace both. Look at this and let me know your ideas. Anyone every had something like this?

We previously had a Class C with a dinette that I replaced with a double recliner. I used the chrome legs from the old table to mount two 12 X 18 inch hardwood carving boards to be used like TV trays. The trays would swing 180 degrees so we'd have individual tables to play cards or eat lunch, but would swing out of the way when not needed.

One of the pictures shows a small table behind the couch. Plenty of room to eat.

I replaced our hide-a bed sofa with two recliners that got to be a PITA to arrange when stopped and just went to a double reclining wall hugger loveseat. Best move in a while. JMHO

We have the Frontier II couch and it is very uncomfortable. Also the ball bearings in the drawer were shot upon dealer install. We ended up getting a loveseat recliner from the Quartzite show and it is small width but way comfortable. I would not buy anything unless you can sit in it first.

Our older (1994) Alpenlite 29' 5er had a sofa with airline-type trays hidden in the arms. The trays stored vertically in the arm-rest uprights behind a little door. Open the door and rotate the tray up to an eating position. Worked so well we seldom used the little 2-person dining table. I do not remember who made the sofa... but I wish I had one now.

You can call Alpenlite in Yakima, WA and ask them The 5er had one slide.

Sorry, but that was 10 years ago. I have no idea if I even took any photos.

We upgraded our couch and to leather. I also took out the dinette and installed table and chairs for two. I did some trim work crown mold and chair rail. We modeled the changes after a 43 Allegro Bus.
