From another forum post, I found the owner's manual of this thermostat. It does support high/low/auto mode.

To boot, it supports switching the temperature tolerance between +/- 1 degree to +/- 2 degrees, so I can loosen the tolerance for better battery savings. (The fan motor stops and starts consume more energy than longer runs of the fan.)

(Edited -- here is the link to the PDF.)

Here is the link to RVParts.com showing Model #3313189.000. It has a full description and priced at $103.00

Holy Cow...........a Hunter at the Hardware, home depot type store, is about $29.00.(give or take)

For that savings, I can install the toggle switch, and cut the red wire.

befast 54, I'm not sure but I think if you want high and low on the fan you will need the red wire.

So these new digital thermostats not only give you a more accurate reading and less "swing" in the temperature, you can also adjust the amount of swing and convert a one speed furnace to a 2 speed ?
How does the 2 speed adjustment occur?

The hi and low fan is only for the AC and not the furnace fan.

Oh and I figured out the problem on the battery low flashing.
You have to run reg batteries, and no rechargeable, something to do with the mercury in the STD batteries?

I have the dometic digital thermostat in my new camper, and I'm thinking of changing it out to the hunter that I had in my last camper. With the dometic you can't see what the current temperature is without turning it off...only then will it show the current temp. Hard to tell if everything is keeping up on a hot summer day. Otherwise it seems to work fine, I just miss being able to see current temp along with what it is set at.

Coop44, rechargable (Ni-Cad) only put out 1.2 volts when fully charged. Regular AA batteries put out at least 1.5 to 1.6 volts.

Ok, what does the "control unit" do to add 72 bucks?
