I just got this reponse from the seller.

Yes there should be a jumper wire I pulled the ones I have in the shipping department they are missing the jumper also. I have the warehouse pulling stock to see whats going on. As soon as I get a awnser I'll give you a call for pickup. Sorry for the problem I'm takeing them off line till I get this taken care of.
OK, sounds like a responsible seller.

So why did you choose this particular solution? Was it to avoid getting out the heavier 50A cord when only 30A was available?

My solution was to use the standard 30/50 adapter which gives the option of also using the 30A extension cord when needed.

I agree check Walmart..just got one for $14 and it is actually pretty nice and appears to be fairly sturdy. The Walmart RV section is small but they do have some of the more used items and is usually alot cheaper then CW. Also got one of the roof vent insulation pillows for $9. If Walmart don't got it then we head for the internet or CW.

I use TWO adapters

50amp RV to 30amp RV,
30amp RV to 15amp

its shore cord to 50>30, 30 into the 30>15

both sides of the 50 get power feed by usingbths arrangement

I just have to use appropriate "power management "

Yes, you will only get half the service....since the 50A has basically two lines, they just go to one side with the 30A.

Totally wrong. The 30 amp adapters supply electricity to every thing the 50 amp cord supplies. You just are limited to 30 amps of draw, as opposed to the dual 50 amp draw (which is arguably 100 amps available)with 50 amp service. I made an adapter for my generator with a 20 amp plug on one end and the 50 amp on the other.

Unless there is something inside the plastic that I can not see that is NOT right.

Question: Does it work?

30 amp service

L
N
G

50 amp service

L1
L2
N
G

(Note these are NOT in order)

converter 30 to 50

L to L1 and to L2
N to N
G to G
