We're leaving on a Ski vacation the 1st week of March> Going from Atlanta to Breckenridge Co and was wondering if there are any problems with the route we have mapped out. Seems like I heard about a bridge being out causing traffic delays somewhere in the area we'll be traveling. Time is important as people will be with us that have only a short time before they fly back.
Basically (without every little move to avoid cities)
75N to Chattanoga
24W to 57 to 64W to 70W
Any advice on possable problem areas or alternatives appreciated .
Thanks

That's the way I went to Colo. Be prepared for wind across Kansas.

If you plan on taking HWY 24 from Limon to Colorado Springs there is a bridge being replaced east of Colorado Springs but the bypass is no problem to negotiate and there is no problem with delays.

Any idea how long before the bridge is completed? We travel from Oklahoma to Gunnison a couple times a year and this is the route we take. Any problem with the by-pass in a 36' mh towing a Wrangler?

Signs are saying completion in July, the bypass is large enough to handle MH's with toads and 5ers as well as semis. The bridge is the old green bridge just west of Peyton, the one with the rumored jail cell in the foundation.

Thanks JD, looks like we'll probably get to try out the by-pass in late May or early June since this is usually our first trip of the season to Gunnison and Ouray (that is assuming my recovery from hip replacement in late March goes like everyone says it should).

You'll have to go Chattanooga, Nashville, Paducah, St. Louis, Kansas City and west.
Suggestion: Fly and rent a place to stay. It's a long, long way, and their winter camping is miserable.
The state is under a major snow storm right now.
