We just got in the market for a good used Class C or Super C and really don't know much about the manufacturers (pros and cons of each). We have owned several new Class A motorhomes from Fleetwood (Southwind and Pace Arrow Vision) in the past 15 years and were not impressed with their durability or quality. We have looked at several Forest River Lexington models (255DS and 283GTs) and were impressed. We know that Coachmen makes the Concord but haven't been able to see one up close. Here are our requirements; Ford chassis (E450), 25 to 30 ft, 2 or 3 slides, rear Queen bed, price range in the 40k to 55K amount. Can someone recommend several Class C Manufacturers and models that would meet these requirements? Thanks.

Bigfoot.
We had one when they were Leisure and it lasted us a long time with very little problems. Way less than our Class A's.

Our 2004 Forest River Sunseeker is not top of the line but seems to be holding up well. If you want top of the line, you might consider upping your estimate of price.

+1 on the Jayco Greyhawk. We have the 31 FK and it's been top notch for us.

DW wanted the Concord, I "won" this one! We purchased the sprinter! The Concord is a very nice rig if you can get one used for a good price go for it!

We had a 98 winnie 30 ft C and traded for a used DP. Biggest mistake we've ever made (MH for 20 years now, 3 class c's, 5ver,and the DP)
We're back in a 04-29 winnie w/2sldes.
Winniabego 55yrs in the bus. and have survived every up and down moment in the market. Had a good friend with a forest river c and it was a disapointment. lasted 2 years before they bagged it. Big foot is a good choice but pricey

We purchased our first Class C in December 2011. Our short list of manufacturers, specs, floor plans, wants and don't wants was constantly readjusted. Through it all, Winnebago stayed at the top of our Manufacturers short list. Our purchase was a 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie DL, 29 feet, V10, no slides. The unit came to us immaculate from two previous owners.
We looked at Class A's. The concern was additional cost to maintain and further limited choices for professional repair and maintenance.
The one thing I would do differently, if I had a do-over, would be to have a pressure test done. The leak we found would not have been a deal breaker, it's just that we would have known about it.
Searching for just the right unit can be a daunting task. What helped us was to have the lists. Search. Ask questions and change the list when necessary.
That's the way I bought my first camera. Used that camera for many years and made much money with it. No honest effort is ever lost. Take time to search and purchase and you'll have something to enjoy for a very long time.
Good luck!
