Another thing to check is if you need to upgrade your drivers license. This varies from state to state but some do require air brake certification and some require different class license to drive vehicle over 24k or 26k lbs.

Be wary. Study the Alfa reputation in detail. Keep looking; price isn't everything.

I'm wondering if there is a learning curve from starting the unit to fueling and preventive maintenance. Our only experience with diesel is, we had an F350 dually for a year when we thought we were going to go to 5th wheel. Well, that didn't happen and only changed oil once and didn't have any trouble with it as a diesel. I really miss that truck. Anyway, moving on, we have been RVing for 12 years and this will be our 4th and possibly last MH. Any comments on what lies ahead for potential new DP owners?
UNLESS your getting the Alpha DIRT CHEAP i would not buy one based on their bad name and the mega delam problems they have
The reasle value of Alpha is 1/2 of what other brand DP are of the same length and year

#1 on the list should be to become familiar with air brakes. This link to the Brunswick CA Air Brake Manual has great info.
