Hmmmm, there is a reason a lot of the higher end trailers come from the factory with LT tires instead of ST. They are more concerned with customer satisfaction then cost. My Alpenlite was one with LT tires from the factory. If you have a tire dealer that will not put or does not recomend LT tires for a trailer that is within the weight for them I would find a new dealer. Hmmm wonder why they use the same tires on small dump trucks and other heavy trucks. Think McFly think,,, Some 30+ ft motor homes have 16 inch LT tires on them, my Bounder was one of them. Are there any rants or long threads on LT tires blowing out???? I am sure there have been blow outs just not in numbers ST tires do. If you want to continue to gamble with ST tires there will continue to be these threads. I just bought a Montana which has Marathon tires and it goes in this week for BFG's.

In other forums you will find the "long LT tire blowout threads" about the LRG Goodyear or LRE Uniroyal, just to name a couple.

There have been plenty of G614 failures posted here with many switching to 17.5 LRH tires rated at 4805 lbs as a solution. Uniroyal's on HHII failed alot quite a few years ago. However most of those HHII were overweight on one or both sides for the tires installed.

Post a link to a Michelin XPS RIB or Bridgestone Duravis R250 failure! Or maybe just a Firestone Transforce HT, Michelin LTX M/S or Commercial TA failure.

This is not a model specific forum. Even with a Keystone Everest they will not let me on the Montana forum. However, they do post my tire blog for viewing. Other model specific forums are not as strict about membership and I belong to most of them. Montana is unique because they have been number one in sales for years and there are A LOT of them.

Ever wonder why ST tire users expect mileage results from their tires? Their manufacturers don't ever tout them as mileage tires. Their design suggests just the opposite. Nothing in their warranties would indicate mileage expectations. Their warranties just say to replace them when the tread wear gets down to 2/32" or less.

So being a high mileage user, why did you stick with them for so many years? Chris
