Heading from Phila to Orlando two weeks and can't wait. This is first time we're towing the 2006 jeep wrangler more than 100 miles, and only did that once. Kinda nervous, any last minute tips? Made sure i have the road side assistance up to date and ready, can't think of anything else..

Why the nerves? You have already towed it 100 miles. This trip is just that same 100 mile trip 7 times!

I tie a plastic shopping bag to the steering wheel of the toad so I can see its position in the rear view mirror. Just be sure it won't catch on the turn signal.

If it towed OK for 100 miles it should go for 2000. I only suggest that you stop ever so often or when you stop, get out and do a walk around, checking tires and the tow bar connections. If you happen to park and leave for a while that before you drive away again, recheck that all the hitch, receiver and tow bar pins are all in place. People have been known to pull hitch pins just to be vandles. I use keyed alike padlocks on all my tow bad connections. If you have a back up camera, check it quite often, you can see that it is still back there and following as it should. When passing another vehicle, remember that you are now a little longer and need to be passed the vehicle you are passing before pulling back in. Also remember that you can not back up with the toad so don't drive into a place without knowing that you have an "out". I also watch the side mirrors on all turns to make sure the front wheels are indeed turning on the toad. Don't fret too much, I have towed more then 40,000 miles. You will get used to it.

You probably already know but check to see if you have to start your particular toad after so many miles driven. I have to stop every 250 and start my toad per factory specs, to pump/cool the trans oil.
And of course don't forget to turn it off before you get back on the road. Yes it does happen just read the forum!
You will be using gas stations driving more miles so always 'look ahead' to make sure you AND the toad can get in and out from any driveway you pull into because backing up is not an option towing only the dreaded unhooking and hooking back up if you do wrong!
IMHO "locking hitch pins" on the receiver end AND on the two pins that connect the toad are a must AND don't forget to lock the toad up when stopping to eat since the key is in the ignition. Toads stolen and just malicious kids pulling the cotter type pins off the toad pins DOES happen.
I don't even have a backup camera, no flags on steering wheels or any other gadgets just locking hitch pins on everything, and my toad follows us just fine and has for over 20,000 miles now.
Good luck, have fun and don't worry!

You'll be a pro after one hour. Remember on turns to swing wide. Whenever you stop for fuel walk around toad and recheck connections.
