Camped at the KOA on Nova Road (state rd 5) in August a few years back. Place was pretty empty but the folks running the it were very nice. Pretty much an open field with campsites well spaced. Also had a nice pool in front. Only stayed here one night as we were on our way to the Keys.

Daytona rv park on Clyde Morris in Port orange , the very best.
Intal rv park on Daytona blv just west of I-95 second best .

If your talking camping, try Nova Family campground Port Orange.

Gamble Rogers State Park; nearly impossible to get into, but keep trying. A hidden gem is Coral Sands in Ormond Beach. It is a tiny CG part of a bigger hotel/motel complex with just a few campsites but in the heart of the Daytona Strip. Not much more than a sand parking lot BUT directly on the beach. CLICKY

You get full use of their pretty nice pool and facilities, full hookups.

GRSP is not really in the heart on the Daytona Strip considering its not in Daytona . It is North of Ormond Beach........which is North of Daytona. Just wanted to pass that on so you know you can't just walk or ride a bike to the Ocean Center / main street / speedway, etc.

Also not in Daytona, but close by Is Tomoka SP (Ormond Beach area) and Blue Springs SP which is in Orange City, about a 30 minute drive from the speedway!

Good luck!

We've never been to Daytona Beach, but I was JUST looking at our latest 'Motorhome' magazine and there's a good article about Daytona Beach and Nova Family Campground. I looked at their website and it looks like a nice park.

Is this a good one? I thought it was noted in this post as being pricey.

This is a newer rv park there just north of the Old Orange Isles (now KOA).

Daytona beach campground on Clyde Morris is real hard to beat. Do yourself and your family a favor and check this one out FIRST .

We are currently in the Daytona Beach CG on Clyde Morris(third year) Good value. Nova Family a little ruff. If you need satalite, nova park is kind of iffy, lots of trees.
