If you want to see the city I would look into one of the Segway tours, several companies offer both guided or non guided tours, saves your feet allot of walking

We stayed at Cherry Hill last spring for the festival. Unfortunately most of the weather was wet. We had our toad with us so on the weekend we went to the Metro terminal and took the subway in. During the week days, we drove to National Zoo, and parked there for the day while we did the zoo. While your there, the Smithsonian is great, but they also have another museum out by the Dulles airport that is really nice, so don't pass that up if your time warrants.

Unfortunately, we can not help with the buses there as we drove almost everywhere we wanted to go, but parking can be a pain,

Thank you to all of you who responded. I appreciate the information on Cherry Hill and the D.C. area. I ordered my tickets for the Grandstand seating for the Cherry Blossom Parade on the 14th. A bit pricey...$50.00 for DW and I. Of course, we could have stood on the sidewalk but I have a cyst in the middle of my spinal cord (inoperable) and can't stand for long lengths of time. We will enjoy it and prepare for the allergy attacks and weather. Thanks again! 7 more work days until retirement!

Very timely thread. We are booked into Cherry Hill CG April 7 until the 10th then we are heading south to Williamsburg for a few days. Having lived in Baltimore for 28 of my 46 years you would think I would have experienced the Cherry Blossom festival but no. Instead of driving 45 minutes to see it I am now driving 7 hours to see it

How long do the cherry blossoms last? We will be there later in April. Cherry Hill looks like best bet, but does anyone know the Louise Cosca Park in Clinton? There isn't much info on RV Park Reviews for it.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative look at Bull Run in Centreville VA. It is right near the new Air and Space Annex and a number of VA alternatives. It also is pretty easy to drive in as well. I worked downtown for 15 years and still drive down and shoot from time to time. This is the day of the big Cherry Blossom Festival and run.
