Does anyone have suggestions on a state campground near Frankenmuth Michigan. We are planning a trip in late June. If yu know of good private ones would also be appreciated.

No state near Faankenmuth but you have Yogi Bear in town and very expensive. About 8 miles south of town is Pine Ridge Camp ground. About a half hour away you have Convent Hill camp ground in Ottisville which has full hook ups a lake and much more.

X2 for the Pine Ridge Campground. Nice setting and clean facility.

Yogi is right in town. Walking distance to downtown. Across the street from Bronners Christmas store. The sites are expensive and small. But it's a top notch facility. Be sure to get the Deluxe/Premium site to have a little breathing room.

I held a Rally at Pine Ridge Last year...... I WILL NEVER go back to that campground , and I have NEVER been treated so rudely, while bringing in Business at any place before. I guess they do not need business, they must be doing fine.

I will not bore you with the details.......But they were Rude, Gestapo atmosphere, and this was in May, and the campground was nearly empty.........I can see why it was nearly deserted.

Please P.M. me for details , if any of you have a question about what happened.

Me as well. We paid for two nights upfront but had to leave after the first due to a family emergency. I asked for a credit and was treated like I was asking for the world. I would understand if we had reservations on a booked holiday or something. There were us and like 6 other campers. I won't ever go back. They also have pay showers which weren't clean at all.

The best choice is st lorenz church. It's cheap but they don't have showers or full hookups. On honor system. They have firewood on site and ask for a donation. Tax deductible as well. Long walk or short bike ride to downtown. 30 amp but you need a long extension cord. No full hookups. They do have a dump station. I will find my pics.
