Looking for DPs for 30k and under I saw this '90 Country Coach. I know it's older and maybe the styling seems dated (not a big deal to me) but it looks like a quality build and the interior really appeals to me.

What do you folks think of a coach like this as opposed to something 8 or 10 years newer but of a lesser build quality? Is the 100k+ miles a big deal on a DP like this? It looks well cared for. Viable option or something to avoid? What do you think?

If someone can tell me how to hyperlink this I will do that.

Paul that is a great looking coach, country coach is/was a high end coach, if everything pans out should be good. That 3208 Cat is an engine that was used in many OTR trucks, so it is just loafing in a Motor Home.

Have it checked over by a good diesel mech, check the age of the tires and take a good look at the roof and check inside for any evidence of leaks, look in all the cabinets along the walls, sometimes leaks will be detected in them.

Other than that, it looks great, check for maintenance records, that would be a good tip off as to how it has been maintained. Those motors are known for running for a million miles or more if taken care of with regular maintence.

Have it checked by a diesel mech for a couple of hundred dollars and if they give you a clean bill of health, you should have many years of RVing left in that old girl.

Happy trails

Score!!!
Looking at the pictures, it looks really nice... well cared for and in good shape! Build quality looks great I would want to go look at it in person, but if it trips your trigger it looks like a good deal!

You guys have confirmed my hunch about this rig. I am not quite ready to buy just yet...I have to sell my current MH and get a few things in order but I've always found that an older, well cared for high end vehicle was the best choice.

Thanks!

It looks real nice, did you look up the price in NADA? I'm thinking it is way overpriced.

Compared to all the coaches I've looked at it seems reasonably priced for what it is. I don't think the NADA price is an accurate gauge of what a coach like this will actually fetch in the market, but if I was ready to negotiate I would of course try to talk them down as much as possible.

This looks A lot like my 90 Executive.mileage should not be an issue it's built on the Gillig mv chassis you will like the ride also you can buy parts from Gillig. They are very helpfull and still support the rv owners.it has been my experence that most of the applinces will need worked on or replaced.I guess due to age that is the same fridge I replaced in mine.It had an amonia leak I replaced it with A new dometic. You need to count on spending some dough to bring it back to new condition.New tires fluid's ect count on at least five grand.I think you might start around 18-19k.It is a sharp well built coach I like the layout&the raised roof&good access to the engine.Hope this helps.Joe.

Thanks Joe. I was hoping someone here had first hand experience with these coaches. I like the layout too. And all the nice wood trim.
