I'll have to chime in with the unsatisfied responders. I have used it twice: the first time I never had anyone show up and changed the tire myself. This was after several calls to Good Sam. I was on Interste 40 at the time, not out in the middle of no where. The second time was a five hour wait and was finally taken care of, but only after multiple(again!) calls to Good Sam.

Pretty poor service IMO. And Service is what I'm paying for.

I can understand why you would be upset. All of the ERS companies contract out their road service to local road service companies. We have had good luck the three times we have used our ERS with Good Sam. If you make a service call during rush hours or bad weather you will wait longer because of the number of calls they receive. The amount of money that any of the ERS gives the local service company will effect the time you wait. Retired from AAA.

That's great, as long as you don't travel outside your AAA region. AAA RV+ is NOT nation wide and in many of the AAA regions, you will NOT get RV service, a known fact.

What are the AAA regions? I currently have AAA Plus for my two vehicles and will be getting something for my new Fifth Wheel. I am deciding between AAA and GS.

Directly from the info available.... AAA (pronounced "triple A"), formerly known as the American Automobile Association, is a federation of 51 independently operated motor clubs throughout North America.
Each has its own rules and operating procedures, which may or may not include RV+ coverage. Many areas do NOT cover RVs. AAA is NOT the RVers best option, if you travel nationwide.

Here is just a sampling of a few:
AAA Alabama (Statewide. Program is called “Tow-for-Life”)
AAA Arizona (Statewide)
AAA Auto Club South (Statewide in Florida, Georgia, West and Middle Tennessee. Program is called “Tow-to-Go”)
AAA Hawaii (Islands of Kaui, Maui, Oahu and Hawaii only)
AAA Merrimack Valley (Program is called “TOWEDD.” From December 16th-January 1st.)
AAA Montana (Missoula, Bozeman, Helena and Billings)
AAA New Mexico (Statewide)
AAA Nevada (Statewide)
AAA Northern and Southern California (Statewide)
AAA Oklahoma (Metro Tulsa, Metro Oklahoma City, Shawnee, Bartlesville, Enid, Muskogee and Lawton)
AAA South Dakota (Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen, Mitchell and Yankton only)
AAA Texas (Statewide)
AAA Tidewater Virginia (Greater Hampton Roads area including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, Yorktown, and Williamsburg. Program is called ‘Tow-to-Go”)
AAA Utah (Statewide)
New Jersey Automobile Club (Morris, Essex and Union counties only)

When we had GS, we had to wait long time for service too. They could not find the town we were broke down. Needed a tow. By the way this was just our SUV that quit. This town was not a little wide place in the road but a big enough town it is on the map and established. But they could not find it. Finally our SUV started and limped back. Took it to a garage and had to have new computer installed.
We have Coach net now.

I wanted to assure all of you that I have been aware of the issues in the past primarily with our provider. IN the last 15 months we have switched to ALLSTATE as a partner. I am confident that we have fixed the issues and would like to earn the business back. IF anyone on here has left us and is with a different provider, I would be willing to offer you a trade in program that would give you the next 12 months at no cost. You must have the policy from the competitor in force for at least 30 days from today and have been a previous customer of ours. Please email me at mlemonis@goodsamfamily.com or mlemonis@campingworld.com

Last year I switched from Good Sam ERS to Coach Net. However, I have always been impressed by the hands on approach of Mr. Lemonis and will take him up on his offer. I'm willing to bet that if he states changes are being made, then they will be.

My problem with Good Sam is I have a small aluminum boat on a rack over the bed of the truck. Good Sam told me they would not tow the truck with the boat. I would have to leave it on the side of the road. Coach Net said it would not be a problem. AAA just left me on the side of the highway. Told me " We can't help, have a nice day". This was after three hours of them telling me help was on the way. Also, I was not towing at the time.
