I'd really like to change out my swivel chair behind the passenger seat for a reclining chair. Where is the best place to look for something like that? Is it possible to just find a smaller regular (Home) chair and sit it in?? It won't be bolted down but would be alot more comfortable when sitting and visiting with people. Any ideas???

I plan my trips to go with the wind, been around the world several times now, can't seem to get where I want to go..

I have done exactly that! I just bought a small wallhugger swivel recliner form a regular furniture store. It even has a round "hoop" base so it will lock down just like the original one. Just check around and make sure you have the measurements with you (Hight & width).

I removed the swivel recliner behind the passenger seat and replaced it with a smaller captains chair. The recliner was on a 4 bolt pedestal and I put the captains chair on a higher pedestal, bolted down to the floor. Driving around with an unbolted chair is dangerous.

We found one at a furniture store. Small recliners are hard to find but most stories have one or two. The one we found the back comes off so getting it in was no problem, Be sure to check.

Lazy Boy makes a very nice small recliner that is perfect size for RVs, yet is a residential recliner. It can be modified by the company to swivel also. I am setting on one, as I type this.

Go and look at BradandHall.com website. They have several motorhome options which are wall hugging to optimize placement and use.

We bought the one the offered from Lambight Comfort Chairs in Shipshewana, IN (260.768.4420). Very happy with it and it takes up a lot less space.

It will cost a little more but will serve you extremely well in this application.

Second the motion on the Lazy Boy. I had one of their small wall huggers on my last boat and it rarely moved.

If I ever emerge from my mental conflict of whether to buy another boat or an RV, the chair will go on whatever I decide on. They are very tough chairs.

We also replaced the old uncomfortable rocker/recliner with a Lazy Boy. I use the old seatbelt from the old chair to lash down the new one when we are on the road.

X2, love my Harbor Town recliner from LB, get the swivel added, worth every penny.

We did that, also. Lazy Boy. Use a bungee to an eye bolt to secure while traveling.
