They are much more common in Australia without the huge price tag.A Lot of of "Do It Yourself" as well as Off Road manufacturers. This on an Isuzu ,is a manufactured one.

BTW Jay Leno's "Big Dog Garage" is in Burbank
I think the video of Jay driving this around from the "Flying Bridge" (as the builder calls it)
was shot on the streets around Jays Garage

go to Jays website, Big Dog Garage
and you can see the video

I think the builders name is Randy
he built one or more of Jays "one of a kind" vehicles

We say one of those Unicat vehicles a couple of years ago in Bryce Canyon NP. It was on some kind of round-the-world adventure. I would like to know who can afford to take a trip like that!!

I heard about a couple of guys from an eastern European country who stole a garbage truck, thinking it was an RV. Said they weren't impressed with the sleeping accommodations, but the chow was great!

Why is it that people in this country think anything cab-forward is a garbage truck?

I think a more appropriate question might be "Why is it that anyone, ANYWHERE, believes what they read in a chain E-Mail???"

I converted a garbage truck to an RV 25 years ago... it was ok but it took forever to go anywhere what with it stopping at every driveway.

In a lot of other countries of the world, they would be wondering why US trucks have Bonnets(Hoods)? I think it is a case of they have not seen what 95% of the rest of the world drive as far as trucks.
