Looking at purchasing a 2008 Cardinal 31 ft. rear Kitchen in excellent shape with decent price. Is this brand one that is a good model?

I have a 2010 Cardinal 3625. I have had it 2 years now and the only repairs have been loose window shade screws and adjustment of the bedroom slide. Otherwise trouble free. It tows well and is comfortable.

I can not complain about my 08 Cardinal. I would however make sure the tires have been replaced with GoodYear 614. That year they put on China tires very bad move. For more info check out the cardinal rv club forum www.cardinalrvclub.org

I have had just minor issues with my 2011 Cardinal 3804. It's a good product built by a manufacturer that stands behind their product.

As for the tires, it is true the rims and tires I believe through 2009 were an issue and there was a national recall. The tires and rims should have been replaced long ago.

As a caution, I would check the sidewalls of the tires for country of origin. If they say "Made in China" make the dealer install something like Michelin XPS Ribs of BF Goodrich Commercial TA before you buy it. If it is a private party, then just be sure the price is low enough to install good tires the day you buy it.
Forest River makes some very good RV's in their price points. Loads of features for the dollar. My Cedar Creek has not been back to the dealer for anything except what problems they caused.

We had a a 2008 Cardinal we did replace the tires with Michelin XPS Ribs. It really was a great rig and super support from Cardinal. In fact the factory support was far better than our dealer. We also got a lot of help from the Cardinal RV club. www.cardinalrvclub.org

The recall was on aluminum wheels only and not just with Forestriver.
I have a 2006 Cardinal with the original Mission tires and never had any tire trouble. Never heard of a recall on tires.

I have a 08 Cardinal that has yet to go back to the dealer for anything. It's been a perfect rig.
