GGS. We were really close to working with J&G it seems, he called as we were on our way out of Corpus. But I'm really glad we got something with GGS since they're established and reputable, I wasn't yet completely convinced that the extra $50 with J&G was worth losing those qualities, but if they were the first one that came up with a gate we figured we'd give them a try at least. I'm generally pretty impressed with how GGS handles everything though, they've got a good operation going for sure.

we are taking a break for awhile and our relief came out today to check out our set up. We are w/ GGS and they are at the Corrizo Springs yard. They said they are the only ones left there. Last week there were 4 couples and the rest have all been deployed. They will bring their rig over Monday morning and we'll be out of here for a while for a much deserved break.Sounds like the waiting for a gate has not been too long from what I am hearing (at least for GGS).

Looks like we will be moving Wed to our new construction gate in Pawnee, which will open this gate up for someone short term. They say about another month to 6 weeks here, which will be a breeze, as the contractor has to be out next week or shortly there after. We will be building another gas plant, similar to what we are doing, from scratch again.....

Moving to the big city of Pawnee lol..by the time you get slowed down to 55, you are out of there! They do have a cafe, but I've never seen more than 2 vehicles there. Do you like the long-term gates? We like being with a rig and moving every month. Different scenery.

Yep, we have really enjoyed this long term gate and that is why we said yes when the Co Man asked us to go over there with him. We will be on FM 798 about 2 miles out of town, but there is no cell service there, as Betsy just went over this AM and checked out the site and cell service. Time to get on the phone with the 3G store and get an amp and antenna. We followed a rig last year and enjoyed that, but working construction 6 days, day shift is nice also.

We will install an antenna and amplifier first and save the sat phone for a last resort. Thanks for the offer though.
