I have a new Winegard in motion Dish...I cannot acquire Satellite 129...others here next to me (central PA) with Dish have acquired 129...110 and 119 are OK
I have tried installation procedure several times with same result: I get error message saying to use recall button to go to last viewed channel. Check Switch is OK
Any suggestions appreciated as I am new to this. Thanks

I haven't done dish for awhile, but 129 seems awful low on the horizon for central Pa. The last I knew Dish also had sats in the eastern arc. They are 72, 77, & 61.5

The Dish 129 sat is hard to acquire. Have you updated any software updates for your antenna. I have a KVH unit and it had to be updated to locate the 129 sat. One thing you can do is unplug the receiver for 30 seconds and then reconnect it and go to the point dish screen in the receiver menu ( menu 6-1-1) and set it to locate the 129 sat on transponder 17. This may take several minutes for it to finally lock on the 129 sat. When done then go to the live TV button so it will down load any programming adjustments to the receiver.

Would suggest doing a check switch with no antenna attached and then trying again with it attached. If that doesn't work call dish 800-333-3474

UPDATE
Finally got it solved.
Called Winegard and tech told me to change dip switches for eastern arc. When I did this I could not pick up 119 to run check switch.
I called Winegard again and a different tech said I need to use Hybrid setting, dip switches 1,5 and 6 up.....She said she was going to yell at the tech who told me to use eastern arc and guaranteed me that Hybrid would work....It did.

By using the Hybrid setting you can be missing some channels. If not already you almost certainly will in the near future. The channels on 61.5 are not the same as what is on 129. Dish is moving many channels off of 61.5 to 72. There should be no reason that you can not use the eastern arc setting.
