Actually, good tires normally don't need any balancing.
First of all, the tires are cast in forms that are .001 tolerance. Then they are mounted on rims that have .005 tolerance, or less. The amount of weight off center is so minimal, that all intact tires and non-bent wheels are capable of undetectable (by passenger) vibration levels, at normal highway speeds. So why do some tires vibrate?
Tires sometimes vibrate because they are mounted out of round. This can often be seen by observing the mould flashing not true with the rim edge. All need be done is remount them straight, and dead center on the rims, using plenty of lube and definately not rolling the beads, or parts thereof. This re-mount can only be done at first, before the tire rubber bead takes a permanent heat set off center. Tires finish curing throughout their lifetime, until they are so hard, and brittle, traction is compromised, and cracking occurs, and road heat accelerates this.
If any new tire actually is out of balance, it is defective from new (slipped belt etc) and should be replaced the next day. If any steel wheel is out of balance, it is likely bent.
Golf balls will make the tire heavier and probably add to out of balance situations, as they congregate to the part of the tire furthest from center, and stretch it yet more. They will also increase unsprung weight, making the vehicle ride rougher.
Ping Pong balls might not be too bad, though... enough of them could prevent flat tires, at least for a couple thousand feet!
Instead of a flopping sound, a driver might hear a crunching sound.

I have the bowling balls ground up into a fine powder and then use my air compressor to fill the tires!

How much did you spend on that rig??? 100,000++++ or much much more. How much on tires 4 or 5 hundred each??? How much is a wheel alignment of front end work??? The safety of your family???
Why would you think of anything else but professional balancing?
