Put me down as a maybe.....who knows, might actually make it....last one I made was 2006
*Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - "WOW, What a ride!"
Sad news to report here, many of you have heard already...here is the obituary for Pat Tully (PRT), one of our first spring rally attendees in 2004 at Oak Haven and a committee member for our 2005 spring rally at Deer Run:
Patricia Ryan Tully - November 6, 2010 - Patricia Ryan Tully, a devoted wife, loving mother and innovative teacher, died Saturday in Florida. She was 66. Pat, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully with family at her side in a caring hospice setting after a brave battle with lung cancer.
She is remembered by her husband, Don Tully; four daughters; and 10 grandchildren for her grand Irish spirit, uncommon wisdom and joyful heart.
Pat was a proud alumna of Holy Trinity High School in Westfield, NJ, and Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania. She worked for 20 years with the Liverpool Public School District, retiring as a computer specialist--"The Computer Lady"--at Soule Road Elementary School.
She and Don filled their retirement years happily rooting for the Yankees amid a busy travel schedule. They cherished reunions at the Jersey Shore with their children and grandchildren and enjoyed the winter months at a beloved getaway home beside a beautiful river in Ruskin, FL.
She is survived by Don, her husband of 44 years; their four daughters and four sons-in-law, Tracey Tully (Ed Macchi), Megan McKenney (Daniel), Sharon Bazzetta (Steve) and Kate Flinton (Eric). She will be missed by her brother, James Ryan III; in-laws, Paul and Lynne Tully; as well as 10 grandchildren.
A wake will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Rte. 31, Baldwinsville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, in St. John's Church, Liverpool. Maurer Funeral Home, Inc.
PRT's Signature (I'm sure she wouldn't mind me recreating it one last time)
Pat May the road rise with you, the wind be always at your back
It's been a week since the initial topic post, and we've gotten a lot of maybe's now listed on page 1, we're off to a good start.
I definitely understand the "maybe" status at this time, it's a long way off...or is it?
Luckily it's all good because we control the entire camping area for this weekend anyway!
If you are interested in beng listed on page 1 as "attending" or "maybe attending" just post here, or PM me, or post on the Facebook Event Page, I'm watching it all!
Rally On!
(PS - Welcome home Meika!)
