Looking for best route to take from Birmingham,Alabama to Branson, MO. looks like there are no freeways into Branson.

I would take 78 to memphis, 40 to Conway, AR then 65 to Branson. All good roads.

We've traveled US 65 from Conway to Branson many times, the last time being over a year ago. The road is good and only a few slowdowns for towns. From Harrison, Ar thru Branson to Springfield, Mo the road is four lane divided and lightly traveled. There are a couple of intersections with traffic lights south of Branson but none north.
