Look at I-81 to Winchester, VA then 522 toward Bedford, PA and I-99 north cross- country to Warren, PA and north to Niagara Frontier. In NY Route 20 is rather hilly east of the Finger Lakes. You might look at 104 near Lake Ontario and then Route 5 to avoid Thruway tolls. You can try route 2 from Troy, NY to I-495 and then north. Now you are stuck with tolls up thru NH and southern Maine. They charge by the width and height, not just number of axles. (It cost me ~$25 toll with 5er from Brunswick, ME to Suffern, NJ).

I live on the NY Thruway and have a discount toll pass for MHs still to danged $$$ for me to use unless I am in more of a hurry than I ought to be. From Niagara Falls you could pick up 104 East and then up and over the north of NY through the Adirondacks cross into VT and pick up US 2 across VT and NH into Maine. No tolls, but extra gas and some exercise for the arms through all the mountains. Especially if you take a side trip on the Kankamangos (sp) highway through the Nat'l Forest in NH. I would not recommend this route if I hadn't driven it in my MH more than once. It is really easy. If you are in any kind of hurry the Interstates will cost you but get you there.

If you plan on crossing into Canada even for an hour be sure you have passport, enhanced drivers license or some other federal proof of citizenship (we carry Nexus cards issued for CDN/USA border crossers). You will not be permitted across the border without this ID in either direction.

The best views of the Falls are from the CDN side there is camping on the US side at 4 mile creek state park and a couple of KOAs. I would not take my coach into the Falls area on a bet. Well for enough money, but I would have to park at my cousin's place. If you can get parked you can walk across to see the falls - might be quicker than trying to drive and then park, less hassle too as long as you have ID as above.

We have alway wanted to go to NF, as an extra venture on one of our race trips to Ohio, but was told theres no room to park a M/H at the falls & they say the best view is on the Canada side.

I'm thinking just like already mentioned, the I-85 to I-77 north to I-90 would be your best route, kinda hilly but 4 lane except for the construction zones.
If you have an F-53, be ready for the ruff ride up & then back down on I-77 in Wva, we were up to Ohio last week & it must be untrained monkeys doing the construction patching work & putting in speed JUMPs instead of smoothing it out.
So ruff it cut my gen off 5 times before we got off the WVA T/P comming back home.

Neil,
Come on up anyway. Got some real good dirt track racing up here!
