We were in Kzoo camping 3 weeks ago and east bound I-94 between Kzoo and Battle creek was a parking lot road construction. I suggest you take 131 north to 6 to 69 had no problem with traffic going that way. Hope this helps.

I live a couple of miles from 69 and use it all the time. I-69 is being redone from Davison through about the pleasant lake exit or about 20 miles of it just past Flint. The East bound side has been re done and is great shape. All traffic is on the East side and 1 lane in each direction. The West side is almost done and will reopen soon. I-69 is now a very nice road and is not choppy as it was before the re construction. Even with only 1 lane traffic has been moving along at the posted speed limit for the construction area.

The only problem with Lansing is that I-96 and I-69 come together and run on the same stretch on the West side of Lansing for about 5 miles. If you are dyslexic it can be confusing. Just remember the cities you are going to and it may be easier. When you get to Ontario you will be on 402 until you get to London and then it merges with 401. If you want freeways you take that to 403 to go toward Niagara Falls. Hamilton has the botanical Gardens that are very nice to stop at. Do not take the 407ETR!!! If you don't have a transponder, which you don't, you can be stopped and fined $200 whenever a police car feels like doing it. The toll will come in the mail in a few months and will be very high. We have gone through Toronto on the 401 in the middle of the day with very few problems. There are also many things to do in Toronto. When you get to Montreal you will find the worst roads on the continent. We thoroughly enjoyed the Maritimes. Have a good, safe trip

There is a brand new RV Park in Niagara, just opened in May. The name is Branches of Niagara on Grand Island just 6 miles from the falls. We drove through the other CG is the area and Branches is by far the nicest with nice large sites. Take 30 AMP service as they charge $16.00 more for 50 amp.

Just pulled into "Branches". Nice spaces but road dust is terrible...guess it hasn't rained lately. Road from Pt. Huron to Niagara Falls wasn't too bad. Parts of 402 were excellent. Took a while at Pr. Huron border as they had me pull over to the side and checked out my shotgun. I had the paperwork completed and they sent me inside after inspecting it and payed my $25, good for 60 days. Came out midday with no check at the US entry but wait was about an hour. Waiting to see what the storm does but plan on going back into Canada around Watertown. Stayed last night at the Flying J at exit 189 on 401...good place to overnight. Signage says 4 hrs but we stretched it to 8 and no problems. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Just talked with a truck driver who recommended that I consider this route to get up near Watertown before crossing back into Canada. Has anyone here take it before and any recommendations on rv or state parks? http://www.scenicdrivesusa.com/node/140
