Florida if you can stand the prices. I have stayed in AZ several times and find the people to be very nice. Tucson area, have stayed in several parks and never found bad one. People are great.

OK--I think I had better explain my earlier post. As a seasonal nurse, my patients did not know I was a snowbird so I heard all the complaints: Snowbirds cause the traffic problems, tie up medical facilities, etc. Sometimes I would explain to them that I was a snowbird and, of course, they would backpedal a bit.. But the people were nice--they (the permanent residents) don't appreciate the seasonal visitors, but I suspect they appreciate the money that comes with them. Just a guess.

My wife likes FL the best, I like the Reo Grand Valley closer to the Gulf the best. We both like AL-MS on the Gulf. South TX really seems to like the Winter Texans the best we think.

We wintered over at Bernardo Shores RV Park in Imperial Beach, CA. the past winter. Very good rates, good weather, and all the ocean you need across the road.........however........we'll be fulltime at The Great Outdoors FL beginning in November. Everything a retiree wants...

Stayed in Tucson. A very fine city with plenty to do. Prices are resonable and has an endless supply of sunshine. Jim.

Florida does not have hurricanes in the Winter. That said, we leave Florida to travel into the other areas during the Winter.

Ditto leaving the crowds in Florida to retun in the late summer/fall(although many are now staying year round), but usually stay in cool not cold weather, although this year saw snow in Texas, NM, AZ, Utah, etc. etc. Did not have snow where we live in Florida but we were gone anyhow.

We do AZ for several months in the winter and a few in NV. We stay in the Perscott area and Camp Verde and I've found the folks very nice, it's quiet and warm and prices are reasonable.

Have considered wintering in AZ, but they are not all that RV friendly lately, so I hear. How about Texas?

We go to San Diego in the winter, low temps in the 50's highs in the 60's, some 70's. It is a bit pricy, but life is short and you can't take it with you!!
