Have considered wintering in AZ, but they are not all that RV friendly lately, so I hear. How about Texas?

We've done both, mostly AZ because it's closer and sunnier. But we liked Texas better in many ways--friendly, good roads, lower costs overall. We didn't stay in one place in TX--we traveled around. It's a big state and we liked the state parks and Big Bend NP the best. Spent some time in San Antonio, too, and enjoyed that beautiful city. Austin is chock full of wonderful things to see and do, as well. The hill country is best done in the late fall, then move further south as the winter develops. We ran into some freezing temperatures in the Rio Grande Valley once but they didn't last but a day or two. Cold spells do happen, but they are temporary.

Not RV friendly? All the years we go there, rv's all over the place and they cater heavily to them....I think AZ is a better location than Texas or Florida...no hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes...not rv friendly...don't listen to those who might have been discriminated because they have a pop up or pick up camper

Not wanting to start a flap over the terminology, here. I can say that after working in AZ for five years that the populace in our area, overall, does NOT like snowbirds. In all fairness, I didn't work in TX but people there seem genuinely hospitable and appear to actually like 'winter Texans'.

Florida does not have hurricanes in the Winter. That said, we leave Florida to travel into the other areas during the Winter. I carry snow chains and love to get up into Utah and Colorado mountains when things get crowded here at home. As to Arizona, we went to Phoenix during the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in January. The park owners did smile when they took our money. I thought that the prices were a little high for what you got but this was Phoenix, during a big event. Not that big of a deal.

I guess the short answer is: "It all depends....". What are your expectations? What is important to you? I've wintered in FL, TX, AZ and SW Utah. Each has their pluses and minuses.
FL - (all) I didn't like it. Too much traffic, rude locals, high prices, etc. You may very much like it. Lots of people do.
TX - (Corpus Christie) Very friendly, very little traffic, good shopping, good health care, good cultural activities, day time winter temps 50 - 60, seldom goes below freezing at night, snowed once, great fishing. WINDY
AZ - (Phoenix area) Heavy traffic, friendly people, lots of snow bird focused activities, very cosmopolitan, gas prices seem some what lower, lots of outdoor activities, mountains and deserts, good shopping, good health care. Daytime winter temps 65 - 75, didn't go below freezing while I was there (don't know if it ever does). I have heard it can be very windy south of Phoenix.
UT - (St. George) Very friendly, very little traffic, good shopping, excellent health care, good cultural activities, day time winter temps 50 - 60, some times goes below freezing at night, occasional dusting of snow but goes away as soon as the sun comes out. Mormon influence not as strong as in the rest of the state (some business closed on Sunday). Two hours from Las Vegas.

We get a lot of snow birds here in southern New Mexico. Deming is a favorite location for thousands each year. Las Cruces also has many that return every year. We look forward to seeing them all return to the "Land of Enchancement". The Pink Store and all the pharmacies, dentists and optomitrist in Palomas Mexico, 32 miles south of Deming, are favorites for many of our temporary guests. Two huge National Forests, White Sands National Monument, Rock Hound State Park are some of the places to visit here in southern New Mexico.
