Was driving from Irvine CA to San Diego earlier today and got stuck in the traffic of this mess. Absolutely nothing left of the RV. Thankfully only minor injuries.

First we read that "Witnesses told CHP that a semi truck hit a motor home", then on another page, "a semi truck struck a Ford F350 hauling a mobile home". Whatever it was, there's not much left. The Ford truck came out pretty well, though, considering.

Looks like a 5er? or whats left of it. Guessing that because 1. F350, 2. The way the truck bed is smooshed.

When the DD asks "Why can't I ride in the camper?", I'll show her some of those pics.

So happy that no one was seriousily injured! It appears as if the big rig didn't even touch his brake pedal! Good thing the trailer absorbed most of the impact....and if you'll note...brand new F250...paper dealer plates on it! And it looks like the awning on the side of the RV is still attached! Amazing!

The headlines in the OC Register are very misleading. They're more concerned about the damn fuel spill than the people involved. The Headline should read: 'Semi hits Camper; No Serious Injuries'

Glad there were no serious injuries.

Looks like the crumple zones did just what they were supposed to do. Protect the passengers.

That is how the news is reported out here. The fuel spill is a bigger tragedy than the people involved in the accident.
