I think my 2000 F53 rides pretty good for a truck. After all it is a truck with a camper installed on it. If they put steer safe and 22.5 wheels from factory it would be great in my opinion which isnt worth much according to most of the members here.

Whoa! Anyone else wondering if those Aluminum heads can take that stress over a 250,000 mile life expectancy.
Sorry, had to vent. I prefer the durability of cast iron heads, diesel or gasoline.

If the dealers say they ride better than they must. Dealers have no reason to lie in today's economy.

Are you seriously worried about hitting 250,000 in a gas motorhome? If you put on that kind of milage, there should be a DP in your driveway

Where did the 250,000 miles come from,,, oh, ok from the details on that Ford site. For a minute there I thought it was something I didnt know I had typed in & you were quoting it.
Miles on the engine probably wont be the problem to start with, its everything else falling apart around the outside of the engine.

I just purchased a 2010 Fleetwood Bounder with a 2011 Ford chassis. It is a 2011 chassis based on the vin number. I will be using it for the first time August 8th week. I will know then about the ride. My previous motor home was a 2006 Damon Challenger with a 2006 Ford chassis. Just driving it home from the dealer and a 40 mile round trip to a Ford dealer, the ride seemed better then the 2006. I noticed on my motor home the message center did not display average mpg as stated in the 2011 brochure. It displayed engine hours in place of it. I am checking on this with Ford to understand what is correct, the brochure or my message canter.

362HP came from the 3 valve in 2006 or 2007 - I have the 2007 chassis, rides fine according to me and has the 362HP. Lots of grunt
I think ride has as much to do with coach manufacturer weight placement as actual chassis build.

The 2009 F53's have a front sway bar, and a trac-bar. It also comes with Bilstein shocks. I added a rear trac-bar and sway bar, and a Safe-T-Plus to mine and it now drives pretty well.

I am curious, did you buy the coach new? My 2009 did not come with a rear sway bar.
