I've been trying to sell the TT for about 8 months now. NOT selling it hasn't been a problem. I've placed ads here and there. Just not in any great hurry.

Now, after dealing with three scammers, a handful of "Sure, I'll come out and look at it" types that never show, and another handful of "Sure, I'll call you this afternoon" types that are just plain lying, I finally have someone that is actually going to show up in about 45 minutes.

I told him that I'll take $300 bucks off the asking price if he actually shows up.

We'll see.

To bad this sale didn't go as quickly as my last home. Sold that one in two days.

Wish me luck.

I find that anything will sell... at the right price. The price probably wasn't right for all those previous inquiries and they found something that was better for them.

Sorry to hear of your troubles in trying to sell a trailer. Around here, they are selling like hotcakes on Craigslist. Our neighbor across the street sold theirs in 2 days, for their asking price and the neighbor on the next street sold hers in less than 2 weeks, again, for the asking price. A friend down the road sold a small 5th wheel the same day he put it on the list. I guess even with RVs, it's location, location, location....LOL...

I sold my class A last week using graigslist. I put it on graigslist on Friday and on Saturday the first guy that called came out and brought it. I know that was lucky but that is the second motorhome I sold on graigslist to the first person who looked at it,

I think the key is the right price. I did a lot of research online to see what other people were asking for similar units. I also went to NADA to get a price.

When looking online I was amazed at the unrealistic price some people were asking for their RV.

I ended up selling the unit for what NADA said was the average retail price which was 50% more the General RV offer me as a trade in. Maybe I could of got more money but I feel I got a fare price and it sold quick.

We bought a 5th wheel last month and my wife really wanted the money put back in the bank so I did not want the Class A sitting in may driveway for months while my wife worried.

The bottom line is that if the unit is priced right it will sell fast.
