There will usually be the following type of screw in vent attached to your kitchen and bath sinks. They have one-way rubber flaps that should not allow any fumes to escape from your grey wate tank. They do go bad foe whatever reason as we just replaced both of ours. The smell went away. They can be purchased at Lowes or any other likewise big box store.http://www.lowes.com/pd_24372-143-85539K........$Ntt=plumbing%20vent%20valve$identifier= They generally cost $5-7 dollars.

I would also consider sanitizing your plumbing if you have not done so recently:
1/4 oz generac bleach per 15 gals water and fill your tank. Remove any filters and turn on all faucetts untell bleach smell is evident in water. Let set fo 4-5 hrs-drain tank-Refill with with fresh water-turn on pump and all fauscetts to flush lines. Drain and fill one more time with fresh water if necessary. You might also hand 1/2-3/4 cup of baking soda to 1 gal of hot water and add to tank of fresh water to help eliminate bleach smell.

I have solved my smelly water in the bathroom sink problem. I am not sure what caused it but this is what I did. The water smelled from the hot and cold taps when you first turned it on and then gradually went away. I first thought it might be the P-trap or the cheater vent in the cabinet But I determined that it was actually in the water by putting the plug in the sink and running the water. Even with the plug in it still smelled so it WAS coming from the water both hot and cold. So I emptied my fresh water tank and put about 5 gals. of water in it. I then added a large dose of the pink wine makers disinfectant and ran it extra strength till I saw pink water coming from each faucet in the fiver. I did this with the hot water heater bypass on. I let the strong solution sit in the lines for about 1 hour. In the mean time I filled the fresh tank up to full and let the weaker solution sit in the tank. After the hour was up I turned the HWH bypass off and ran water through the hot lines to get the solution into the HWH. I then emptied the tank and and filled it with fresh water. In the morning I turned on the bathroom tap and VOILA! No more stink. At this point I think that there had to be something in the bathroom faucet the was creating the smell because both the hot and cold water smelled.
