I can't for the life of me remember what it is called but look under the sink near the P-trap. At the end of the PVC there will be a place to screw off a cap of sorts. Inside that cap is a small rubber flap thingee that is meant to close off the odors. It has a small hole in the center and is about the size of a quarter/50 cent piece. I'll keep searching for the pictures that someone on here has already posted.

That’s a tough one.

The only thing I can think of that the bathroom sink and other drains may not have in common is the vent. That’s what I would check first.

Is it possible the smell is actually coming from the sink drain in your bathroom and not the water itself. When you turn on the water, it goes down the drain, stirring up whatever might be caught in there, which could be anything?

Have you tried catching just the water, in a cup or bowl, take it away from the bathroom, even outside the camper, and see if the water really smells?

This is just a hunch? But if the water is actually not smelly, it's coming from the drain. Simply disconnect the drain, clean it out, run some bleach down it and you should be good to go.

Try this anyway, just to make an old dog happy!

I had a similar issue. When I flushed out the antifreeze, I opened all the faucets (one at a time). But still had the smell like rotten eggs. What I had failed to do was to take the caps off of the drain lines and antifreeze has of course collected in the bottom of the drain lines and when water was turned on, a minute amount of the antifreeze would mix in with the fresh water. As soon as I took off the caps on the drain lines and flushed them out good, the smell was gone. The drain lines were under the fiver where the bathroom is so it only affected the bath and shower faucets.

Thanks for the help.

Again, it has nothing to do with the hot water and I don't even have an anode rod so it isn't that. I'm 100% positive it's coming from the water itself not the trap.

I'll empty the low-point drains again, I did have quite the time to get rid of the anti-freeze this spring but then it was the opposite problem, the water was clear in the bathroom but foamy in the kitchen.

Have you tried cleaning the screen at the end of the faucet? May be some junk in there. My kitchen sink in the house was the only one with a smell, cleaned the screen smell went away.

At a seminar they suggested that you never use bleach to disinfect an rv. They said to use 1oz. of puroxide per 10 gal. of water.
Puroxide is esier on seals & pump parts & the residual smell & taste will go away in a couple of hrs.
