PS, what is the correct concentration of bleach to use to sanitize the FW tank? It's more than likely your hot water tank. Drain it and flush it out with a piece of tubing connected to a high pressure nozzle. You won't believe what comes out of it! Sounds like the fresh water tank, I just don't understand why I don't get the smell from the kitchen sink. Agree to clean and flush both water heater and FW tank. The recommended mixture is 1/4 cup bleach per 15 gallons water. Let sit overnight, drain, fill and drain again. This exact same thing just started happening in my fiver. The hot and the cold in the bathroom sink smell but not in the shower or kitchen sink. It collects all the minerals from the water. It should be replace every couple of years. Instructions Good luck! The OP's smell is only in the bathroom sink, mine as well. What does the anode rod have to do with the bathroom sink. And I have no filter under the kitchen sink. It is also when the cold water runs as well as the hot. What good is flushing the hot water tank gonna do to the cold water smell???? On mine the smell is there with city water hook up. What good is cleaning the fresh water tank gonna do????
