I don't think I would want to use an awning pole after I've stuck it down my toilet. Gross

If I'm outside the TT, looking at the dump valves, the one on the RIGHT is markked as the BLACK TANK. Does this sound correct for a Keystone Passport ?

Checking the level of the black tank using the panel inside the TT, it is on EMPTY, same for the GREY TANK.

When I look down the toilet, I can see the bottom. So that part is clear. Is the tank is offset somehow, or IS that the bottom of the tank I'm lookinmg at ?

I ran my hose into the toilet and it filled up with water almost immediatly, and is still full of water and will not flush.

According to the owners book I have a 30 gal BLACK water tank and there is no way that there is 30 gallons in there and the lights say it is empty.

I'll take it back to the dump again this afternoon, and dump both tanks and see if it drains. I'm puzzled by all of this and have only used the TT very lightly for 3 week-ends.
Now you've got me really confused,if you push the pedal, (or what ever you have) to open the valve in the bottom of the toilet, & you can see the bottom of the tank, where did the water in the bowl go?, & if it's an offset toilet, I doubt if you can see the tank bottom.

Sounds like time for a bent wire hanger.

These toilets don't flush like a house toilet. The valve opens and the "deposit" falls to the tank. Before using as a "library" seat, fill the bowl about 1/2 to 2/3 full of water. On most that is accomplished by holding the pedal about 1/2 way down. When finished "reading" push the pedal all the way to the floor in a quick movement.

If you can see the bottom of the tank, nothing between the toilet and the tank is blocked.

The air leak you get when plunging is the tank vent to the roof doing its job.

Make sure you always use plenty of water, keep the valve closed until tank is at least 2/3 full. Make sure all the hoses are properly hooked up and firmly pull the handle wide open to dump. You want that big whoosh sound.

If you need to dump prior to going home and the tank isn't at least 2/3 full, fill it with water. That way you'll avoid the dreaded "Pyramid".

"awning rods are amazingly multifunctional tools" Right! We used ours to unhook a wire basket that caught on a storage lock. But I never thought to use it with the toilet!!

I never thought of that either... do you have to use it on the crapper every time????

LOL

A stick would work as long as the valve is opening, are you sure the toilet slide valve is opening? It should slide into the side of the toilet when flushed with a somewhat straight shot down for the goo into the holding tank. I can look into my holding tank with a flashlight when holding the flush handle open.
