I usually take the Eagle to Cummins Rocky Mountain in Avondale, AZ. For it’s Engine, Chassis and Genset oil change/check.

However, I was thinking I could save some bucks since (for the first time) there’s a Speedco close by. Because presently all I need is an oil and filter (oil and fuel) change as well as servicing the tranny.

I figure I’d ask (for my peace of mind) before taking the Eagle there in lieu of Cummins Rocky Mountain.

Thanks,

Pops

Excellent service. However, not aware that they offer transmission service.

LOL…I guess I misunderstood the meaning of “Gear Box” that’s listed in their menu. I guess it means “Manual” trans….

If you're talking about the one in Casa Grande, they are very good. Clean, efficient and professional, would be the way I would describe my experience there. I have used 2 of their locations, one in Fernley NV plus the one in Casa Grande and was very satisfied with both locations.

I tried them this spring for the first time and was very pleased with the service. I have been going to my CAT dealer but was on the way home from Florida and decided to give them a try. I had chassis lube, oil change and oil filter, two fuel filters and generator oil change and fuel fiters. All this was done for a little over $200 amost $150 cheaper than my last CAT oil change. Speedco allows you in the bay area to watch what is being done and when the drain plugs are torqued they show you the torque on the wrench and ask for you to listen to the clicks to verify proper torque. They checked all the other fluid levels and the SCA concentration in the cooling system and showed me the SCA level on the test strip. Speedco uses Fleetguard filters and have CAT branded filters for a slight up charge. When my next oil change is due I know where I will be going.

Ditto. First time for me this June at Speedco in Haw River, NC. I did not inquire about the Allison MH3000 tranny service. Very pleased with the service and got the engine oil analysis. Will use them again.

Like every business it all depends on the employees on duty at the time of your service. I use to use them until I had a bad experience on a weekend with what seemed to be new employees. If I were to use them again I would be sure to go during the week when the most experienced employees are working, never again on a sunday afternoon. When the employee that went into the pit called me over and asked me "is this the oil filter" I knew I was in trouble.

This is something that I saw in their menu that interest me, especially since it's done while you're there.

That would really suck!!!...and I have to agree about the weekend thing! Thanks for the heads up, excellent tip.

It's unfortunate when purchasing a new MH, Car or similar product that the manufacturer doesn't list the day that the unit was built.

Kind of like: Not wanting one built on a Monday, since they're working on that Hang Over from the weekend as well as a Unit built on Friday, cause they're minds are on the weekend's Party or Hot Date...LOL I'd figure, Tuesday or Wednesday would be the best days!!!

Yup, that's the one I'd be heading to.

Thanks,
