I have had a class C for a little over a year now and want to get setup to tow my 2003 CRV. I have ordered and have sitting at home a Demco base plate to install. I plan on using a Ready Brake system. My question is about the tow bar. I am considering either a Demco Excali-bar and adding the Ready Brake, or buying the Ready Brute Pro setup. Looks like I can get either setup for about the same price. The Excali-bar has a higher capacity, but both more than cover the weight I would tow. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I too am in the market for a Ready Brake. If I did no have a Roadmaster Stowmaster bar already, I would go for the Brute all in one system. It looks like a great setup if using a Ready Brake for aux braking.

I have the ReadyBrute Elite combo bar, and it works great. With an 8,000 lb capacity, it'll more than handle your CRV, and I don't see any value in adding the extra length and fittings of using the separate pieces with no practical gain.

Recommend the Ready Brute Elite aluminum tow bar WITH integrated braking system.
Have not heard of the Ready Brute Pro 'till now. Good & safe travels.

Thanks. I figured the Ready Brake Elite was the best way to go. The Pro vice Elite was my mistake.
