For someone that knows nothing about us, making such an elementary, ignorant, judgment statement must make you feel good.

We fly under NO radars. We faithfully pay our taxes every year, NO MATTER where we workamp, and yes, that includes California.

Amazing Bumby how some will listen to a "tax advisor" and believe what they say and others will go to an CA certified Tax Attorney and hear what the law and case law actually says and the possible consequences. If they "volunteer", not receive one dime of pay, they are probably OK. However if the compensation involves any pay other than site and utilities, they are liable for some consequences we did not wish to be involved with. This was from a CA Tax Attorney on my dime.

I'm the OP. Today I called the CA DMV 4 times and as expected, two said that I have to change my licence plated after being employed and residing in CA for more than 20 days. Ther other 2 said that I did not have to. I'm still waiting to hear from a supervisor from the DMV. Also I learned that after 30 days I'm required to change my drivers licence. I'm now totally confused.
