Good Sam.
Everytime I've had to use them, the service was excellent.

Definitely Coach-Net here. Some of the limitations Good Sam's relabeled Road America plan has are not acceptable to me, such as no coverage on rented or borrowed vehicles, no coverage if you're off the road or stuck in a sandy beach area, and no help with utility, horse, livestock, or show animal trailers. Coach-Net covers all of those situations, albeit with some limitations. Coach-Net also includes phone technical support by ASE and RVIA/RVDA Certified and Master Certified technicians in their basic "Gold" plan, while the GS plan only offers it in their premium plan at a higher cost.

Even though we have roadside assistance for our RV included with our insurance, when I looked at what it covered, I knew it was severely lacking compared to Good Sam or Coach Net.

Since we're planning an extended road trip this year, I bought Coach Net coverage. $100 is not expensive for extra peace of mind when we're a long way from home.

However, if I was not doing a long trip, I might not buy it. Also, since our setup is new, I would be less inclined to go with the extra coverage.

I have no experience with Coach Net, but we had a terrible time getting from Yuma to Indiana this year. 43 days, 4 tows by good sam's,2 highway mechanics, and all I got was a letter advising me to check that someone else was not using my member number. I called and told them it was all mine and they said ok. I have been a member of Good Sam's for 6 ears and have no complaints.

Coach-Net here.

I've had Good Sams, but I have heard that they frequently send out under-sized tow trucks and are not as technically proficient with motorhomes.

Coach-Net seems to understand what a motorhome is and what it takes to get it moved.

The biggest thing I didn't like with Good Sam was their non-stop propaganda and advertising. It seemed like it never stopped. Is Coach-Net as bad for that?

Also, does Coach-Net do trailers or just motorhomes?

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!

Coach-Net-- They send what is needed and more. They sent a 45' flatbed to tow my Freightliner, when only a 1 ton truck was needed. Tow company said that was ths smallest unit they had in the area. They like Coach-Net because they pay on time, not so with others like AAA and GS.

Reason I have had GS Road Service for 22 yrs.:
1. Price, best $110 a year you can spend for mental assurance that you are not alone, no matter where you are broke down
2. never have to pay up front
3. Will only tow you to facility that can actually fix your problems i.e. Broken leaf spring required GS have a 40 ft. flat bed trailer to wench my 32' TT completely up and then tow it.

as I have posted before, when I had my blow out on I-20, the fellas that showed up said that Coach Net was the only service where they did not require me paying up front and getting reimbursed.
