Hello out there... I was wondering if anyone out there could offer me some help! While on a hunting trip in northern Saskatchewan we overloaded one electrical outlet with to much wattage from electric heaters, I checked all the breakers and changed all the fuses I have a 1999 34ft cardinal lx 5th wheel I went to a RV dealer and they told me it was probaly a gfci breaker in the bath room. but there is no gfci breaker I could see. I used 3000 watts for the heaters, and while out hunting my buddy grabbed the heater out of the bedroom and plugged it into the same circuit the 1500 watt fireplace heater was on now the whole circuit is down. I thought it would be just a melted fuse, but it,s not. any advice thankyou kindly and happy RVing in the up and coming season...Gerbear55

gerbear55, check your invertor for a tripped circuit breaker. They will sometimes be labeled "by-pass breaker".
Be sure to unplug all the loads before resetting the breaker.
Replace the defective buddy as soon as you can. He may also be resettable and you may not have to replace him after all.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forum.
The GFI may be in the kitchen if thats what the problem is. Mine '97 5er is. Also if a breaker has kicked be sure and push it all the way off and then back on. Check all fuses in the contrul panel.
We have a tech forum with some great electrical wizards. mayb the adm/mods can move you over there.

Hi Gerbear55, the GFCI should be by the sink, in bathroom area, also another on the side of the bed, if I remember correctly. Mine is in storage, so I can't look at the moment. Hope this helps. John

Check the circuit breakers in the converter box inside the trailer. You will have to open the panel. Also there is an GFI on one of you recepticals some where. I have a Cardinal also with the GFI near the sink in the bath room and one on the slide out bed down low on the side.

hopefully you haven't melted your shore power service at the RV end (I did that by accident this winter a couple months ago). Check your inverter's breaker, it will have one on it and reset it.

When a breaker is tripped, it might not look like it. Push the breaker switch to off, then to on.
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

You need to find the GFCI and take a look at it.

Its doubtful you have any "fuses" in your 120vac system. You should have all breakers, as mentioned, check inverter if you have one.
