It uses water pressure to drain the black tank and you only need a 1" hose. A lot easier to handle and keep clean.
Its slower to dump so I use the ole standby stinky slinky at dump stations, but for campgrounds with hookups, its a snap. I've used mine for 5 years of fulltiming.
BTW: It will even work uphill if necessary and you can use some really long runs its said. I've never needed more than 30' myself. What's the point with full ups to use the sewer solution??? I could understand being in a place without full ups and running the small garden hose somewhere to dump, but with full ups the sewer connection is right there and you would just use your regular sewer hose after the tanks were full enough to dump. Just like you would do at the dump stations.....

If you get the Rhino just make sure it fits into where you store it. It's a little larger than my old brand and won't fit into the carrier tube without removing the coupling. I was surprised since I think both are made by Camco!

Good point. But the only pluses I can think of:
1) its a bit cleaner operation
2) its a bit easier to store
3) (and the biggest reason) You don't have to support the hose with scrap lumber, plastic do_hinkies, or PVC troughs. Just let it lay on the ground.
4) its a matter of personal preference.
As for the argument of which is best???? If you've only used the stinky slinky, you have nothing to compare it to. I've used both and personally, I'd never consider the stinky slinky again.

Another question,
I always thought it was better for the stuff to washed out of the really fast rather thsn let it linger in the tank and possibly sit on the bottom of the tank.....Or am I totally confused.

I have both. I normally use the standard heavy duty brown hose when I have full hookups and the run is not too long. If it is more than "say" 20 or 25 feet I use the sewer solution. I use the flush system for the black tank with both systems. Yes the SSolution is cleaner and neater but does require at least 25 or 30 PSI to work, and is at it's best at 40 PSI. It also can plug when a baby wipe goes in the black tank. When I stay in one area the run is 63 feet and slightly up hill, only about 2 feet up over 63, but the SSolution or a 12 volt macerator pump is the only way to reach it.
It is purely personal preference, but it is nice to have the option to use either as required.

Another good point and valid. But I still run my tank flush while dumping so that keeps the "stuff" swirling and mixed up. We use plenty of water in the black tank to start with and in use.
All I can say is I've used the Sewer Solution for 5 years of fulltiming and if at anytime I thought for a second that I was developing a problem in my black tank because of its use, I'd dump the unit in the dumpster and go back to the stinky slinky.
In those five years of use, I see the bottom of my tank after each dump so at least in my tanks design, it works very well.
Having sung the praises of the Sewer Solution, I never use it at dump stations. Because:
1) it takes twice as long to dump
2) seldom find a dump station with a fresh water hose with a hose connection end on it.
3) one of my pet peeves is the huge process (time consuming process) a lot of people make out of something that should only take 3 minutes. (I know, I know, I'm getting cranky in my old age.)

I would use the SewerSolution. I have been using one for 3 years and will not use anything else. It is almost indisturctable. It is much cleaner to use than the old 3 inch sewer pipe. With the clear plastic fitting and the tank flush system, I can see when nothing but clear water is coming from the black tank. I always flush my black tank when I leave a campground and I never have any smell from the comode. The sewer solution is expensive, but well worth it!

I've used sewer solution for about the past 4 years. Yes it works, but is very slow, and uses lots of water to get the tank completely clean. It is very easy to set up, and then take down and store. I bought the Rhino hose a few weeks ago, and I had forgotten just how fast the 3 inch hose will empty, and how quickly it will clean. I will probably put the sewer solution in storage, or give it away.

It's Sewer Solution for me. No more Slinky, slinky supports, slinky storage tube, and other slinky paraphanalia. No more slinky leaks and replacements every couple of years (or more). The SS is very clean, and durable. My SS ($90)system cost approx. $125 with additional extension hose ($15), 25' grey water hose ($13), and high volume "Y" fitting ($6).
Drains my black tank in less than 4 minutes. Gray tanks stay open to drain in use, with no need for the water jet. With the water jet flushing the SS system, no need to save up gray water to clean the hose after draining black tank.
And no more need to hose out the slinky after un-hooking for storage. I find the SS is actually quicker overall than using the slinky. And no more folding up and storing the hose elevator.
