I found it entertaining, but then again I only watched it because of the RV theme. If not for that I doubt I would have watched it at all.
I enjoyed seeing the outcome last night with the Cootes being taken out, IMO that was the dysfunctional family.
Now if you sent Jack Bauer in there to blow up all them RV's I'd be hooked

We watched it and enjoyed it for what it was-just for fun. Like the OP said it was interesting to watch the families change thru the trip. I came to like the DiSal's.
As we were watching last night I remarked that wouldn't it be ironic if the DiSal's won because they had taken the time to show Grandma their scrapbook, while the other family wanted their kids to "focus" and visit with Grandma "later".

Yeah, I wonder if they are going to load up the RVs and head back to Chicago! My guess, it'll be something like Route 80 or maybe a north-south run.....I-95, how exciting would that be???
I felt that there was something "fishy" about the show...and how, as dysfunctional as that NY guy was, they always seemed to stay in the game.....we didn't see things in real time, and we just don't know about some of those challenges. I told DW that I felt that they had a plan to keep them on the show, as it was the family you would love to hate....you watched each week, to see what bonehead thing he would say or do.
Again, entertaining TV!

Desalvitor was a real jerk most of the show. More worried about his hair than anything else.

I watched it and thought it was good. I liked the interaction with the families too. I also noticed that the chassis were Fords and seem to handle fairly well and they were able to steer them one handed (both husband and wifes) when they drove. My F53 is not as good. Anyway Monday night was my night to watch TV. This show was followed by the History detectives on PBS which I also enjoy.

Not meant to turn things in a different direction but did anybody notice that neither the drivers or the passengers were wearing seatbelts through most of the series and at the same time driving with one hand and looking back and talking to the other members of the family and at the same time looking for where they are supposed to turn next.I am amazed that they all got from one end of the country to the other without having a serious accident. Or maybe they did and it got edited out.

Did anyone out there actually See this Show being filmed? My take is that a lot of it was scripted and staged.

Trash television.
I saw the first episode, part of the second, and part of the last. I thought it was a worthless waste of air time. It did absolutely nothing to promote RVing or cast RVers in a good light. The fact that they were in RVs really had nothing to do with the show. They could have been locked in a house or neighborhood as some other shows or maybe on an island.
It was very disappointing.
