Gasoline prices are down almost a buck compared to May. Keep those prices coming down.

Wish it was going down here, but has only dropped 3¢ over the last month. $3.84 to $3.81 for Reg.

Diesel here has also not dropped like other states. It is hanging in the $4.09 to $4.19 range. Me thinks there is some collusion in the price market in this state.......LOL.

We are held hostage by these oil companies. They have lobbiest's walking the halls of our capital with pockets of money to get the votes to control the oil industries. I don't need to look at a calendar to know what holidays are coming up, I just watch the oil prices. They go up, must be a holiday coming. We pay their ransom every time we hit the road but get no results except excuses for price increases.

Just think if we would have bought a bunch of stock in Exxon Mobile in the '70's how happy we would be about those high prices about now. [emoticon]

I am one that really likes to put stuff in a blender and hit the switch, so here it goes.
Everyone keeps blaming the oil companies for fuel prices, really? They sell their product on an open market that goes up and down, you know that deal they call "Wall St". Yes, they have boat loads of money, but do you have any realization as to how many barrels of oil or how many cubic feet of natural gas that they sell in a day? I really do wish someone could tell me who has their finger on the pump price, because for the life of me I can't figure out how some disturbance over seas somewhere has any relation to cost of the fuel in a station's storage tank here in the US that is already paid for. If you have not already figured this out for yourselves just watch the news and the next time you see some kind of middle east news event watch fuel prices the next morning.

Commodities are always sold on replacement value. When they have a bumper wheat crop in Russia, the midwest farmer who has silo's full sees it's value go down. If there was a big fire in the Jack Daniels plant, the value of your bottle of JD on your shelf would go up. A freeze in Florida, makes the California tomatoes more valuable. Al that being said, people being people being people will usually find a way to take advantage of things.

Strange... I've heard a dozen times on the national news that 'gas prices are steadily rising due to the crisis in Iraq'. Most recently, ABC said yesterday that they'd risen for 16 straight days.

Yet, at my local non-major convenience & 'cheap' gas store, I'm still paying the same $3.619 that I was paying over a month ago. Is someone blowing smoke?
