The good news is that hybrid sales seem to be on the rise. A few more people are riding the 'pedals' instead of the Dino monster.

AS the demand goes down, the price will 'tend' to do so as well. Hopefully there will be enough glut on the market so that we can still run our RVs. Won't be cheap I'm sure, but hopefully the cost will moderate.

Interesting aside on the Dino scene is the advent of 'clean coal'? Really? In the meantime the Public Service/Electric Suppliers, don't want to spend money to fix the Hydro Electric Dams. They'd rather take the cash and run. Hence it seems, coal got laundered?

And the oil companies continue to report record profits, in addition to governmental subsidies.

We're looking at close to $3.50 a gallon for 85 octane currently. Was hoping for a bit more of a drop, prior to the fall excursions, but I guess not.

Has anyone else around the country seen a drastic jump in their gas prices? Here in SE Kansas, it has gone from $3.39/gal. on 5/4, to $3.99/gal and some even have it at $4.09/gal. Oil hasn't changed that much. It pretty much stays in the $90-$96/bbl. range. This is crazy.

We saw a 12¢ at Costco, over 15¢ elsewhere, increase from Monday afternoon to this morning....Still trying to figure out why they are so greedy, as nothing has happened to set it off.,

You too can own stock in any or every oil company. Hint, it isn't really a great stock buy, it just gets a bad rap. Want more demand, tell you congressman to demand that more federal land be opened up. Production on federal land is way down and production on private land is way up.
