RE: Bear Country We spent 2 weeks at Fishing Bridge and had a great time. We saw two bears one strolloing doen the road side with about 500 people snapping pictures, and one laying in the creek with a bison carcass. RE: ?? on Replacement tires for 06 Ford F350 4x Crew Diesel.... If you stay on pavement get an HT tire. If you get an all terrain tire expect to only get about 35k out of them. RE: clearance My rig is no pavement queen by any means. We drag it on the beach, up mountain roads and even over open desert. With my airbags pumped up I have just under 6" of clearance at the tailgate. I have been in a couple of situations, truck pointing down hill while trailer is level, where the top of the tailgate is my worry. RE: Level fiver while towing? I am towing about an inch or two nose high by my leveing stick. I have weighed my rig fully loaded at each wheel location and the difference was minimal, within 50# of each tire. Most of the difference was side to side, front to back was very close. I did this after experiencing a blow out and seeing another rig just like mine with the same tire blown out. So I thought the rig must be heavy over that tire but it wasn't.The only handling issues I notice are when we are traveling light.
