RE: Please wash your hands

That's what I do. I don't even wear gloves when I use the restroom.

RE: Ugly Encounter at Campground

I just had people walk on my site and thought I'd run in and tell everyone about it........I don't think they killed the grass or took anything:B Asked them how they were doing, said great. I said I was too, see you later. Seamed like a nice couple. Far form an ugly encounter.

RE: Is it time for new tires?

Stay 65 mph and under. Inflate them to the max psi on the sidewall to help keep heat down and you should be alright.

RE: Unmounted television

My 32" lays on the bed when moving. The 19" in the bedroom stays mounted and secured with a bungee. No problems so far.

RE: How long is too long? re: length of TT

What is your TV, that is your limiting factor?? No TV yet, just getting a feel for lengths. I'm notorious about posting about our TV situation, you've maybe read about it, lol. We are heading out to the Ford dealership this week and tossing the kids into a new F150 EcoBoost and seeing how it feels. Probably w/ the max tow/payload. Or we are thinking of buying a very used, 10-12 year old Excursion for towing only. With those TV's you don't have a length issue because your going to be restricted to around 28' max, anyway. The excursion option opens the max length up quite a bit. Maybe so, but I wouldn't pull over a 28' TT with a 1/2 ton truck.

How do you figure? Is there a TT over 28' are you looking at that an F150 can pull within the numbers?

RE: tube out of the back of the refrigerator

That plug is probably a plastic insect screen.

RE: How long is too long? re: length of TT

35' may be too long to get in sites along with your TV. I find 30' and my TV to be ideal for all the sites I like. Far more important is the floor plan design than length.

RE: Door adjustment

Loosen the screws on the hinge and see if there's any play. It doesn't take much to to get it to close and latch properly if it can be moved slightly.

RE: Making choices and plans

They are RV salespeople for a reason. The last one I had dealings with never had been RVing and previously sold used cars. This was at the largest RV dealer in the nation.

RE: Hot weather camping

I hate to see other campers miserable but, I say sweat it out, park under a tree if you can, drink lots of cold beverage, buy a cheap box fan for outside and enjoy your mods.

RE: Ugly Encounter at Campground

I don't own the site I'm on and there's nothing in campground rules that state you can't cut through occupied sites, that I've seen. I don't do it but also don't care if others cut through, just so it's not a parade. Now, if they spit on my truck they better have health insurance ;) There is no sign on the vacant chair at my restaurant table that you can not just sit down and make yourself at home. There is no sign on my rental car that you can't drive it. There is no sign on the door saying I should hold it open folr the little old lady right behind me instead of letting it slam into her...Do we REALLY need a sign to tell us everything? When I PAY for a site, I am paying for the exclusive use of it. Would it be okay of the guy in the tent next to you ran an extension cord over to your hookup and tapped off your hose? If he ASKED I might let him, but... If it was a big deal don't you think it would be written in most campground rules? I think it's being blown way out of proportion. So what, someone cuts through the campsite your parked on. To me it's a minor issue, to others they lose sleep over it.

RE: Claim denied for lighting strike to motorhome?

I say you have a claim too. Insurance companies will try anything to keep from writing checks. A tree is a falling object. Where there's smoke there's fire. What else do they need to know?

RE: Insurance

Be sure everything is covered in the policy or with a rider to the policy, Awning, AC unit, anything that is attached to the RV. Normally those are not covered and cheap to add.

RE: Claim denied for lighting strike to motorhome?

I don't think it's possible to know without reading your insurance policy.

RE: Ugly Encounter at Campground

Just because my car is a rental doesn't entitle you to hop in and drive it. apples and orangesOnly in your mind...When you sign a rental agreement, which you do in a CG, it is for your exclusive use period. Now I realize many, evidently including you, think everything anyone owns or rents belongs to the public, so I understand your confusion on contract law. I think you may be confused. Your not signing a rental agreement when you get a campsite.

RE: Ugly Encounter at Campground

No such animal as "unwritten rules". If it's a rule then it needs to be written and handed out to everyone who enters. That's the only way cutting through a site can be legally enforced.

RE: Is it time for new tires?

Are the sidewalls cracked, are the treads alright. If those two things checkout then I would save my money on new ones.
