RE: Need help with console Ideas.

http://thumb10.webshots.net/t/76/176/5/88/84/2449588840094780610DwBTSv_th.jpg Above link brings you to my webshots public album, the first two are my side console and center console. Going to redo center because the stain came out too dark. Bins were purchased from Targ*t. They're simple, the center screws into the doghouse, the blocks are just for support.

RE: My solution for the dreaded fogged dual pane window.

Seems like a overreaction to a common problem with several solutions. My solution takes an hour or two: Fogged window repair for the DIY'er. As far as the usefulness of double paned windows go, many, many owners here on the forum have compared their RVs with and without and the winner is double paned for comfortable AC, heating without too much furnace run time, and less noise from outside. I agree with them. No offense, JMO. Disagree, true dual pane windows with any r value are sealed tight. And filled with an inert gas, such as argon. Having two thin layers of glass with "air" in between does nothing for insulation, sound deadening, ect. Moisture forms due to temp differences. Argon is an insulating gas. Air not. Sorry but submit your coach to the right circumstances and you will have fogging with your repair.

RE: Rubber Roof vs Fiberglass

NO, just cheap ones as that's the only reason to use a rubber roof. Rubber roofs have a 12 year warranty so one on a mid 90s MH would be a deal breaker for me too. Recently had to recoat the rubber roof on my 1998 5er as it was starting to leak. Not a easy job but better than replacing the whole roof. I would walk all over any roof to make sure it's solid before buying. Guess a plus for a rubber roof is that it will give without cracking if the roof structure is bad enough. HAHAHAHA!!!!! You're silly.

RE: Class A With NO Rubber Roof??

RE: Hard to reach accelerator?

2008 31D on a Ford, removed pedestal, cut 2 3/4" off, welded. Much better, allows for more of a stretched out position. Probably could have gone a full 3" or even 3 1/4". Might be worth consedering.

RE: Vaccum cleaner- what one is the best for class A

Search this forum for `vacuum cleaner' where there are more than 180 posts already. Bah Humbug, Dysons new stick hand held looks interesting, we use the older model at home and love it. We do have the smaller dc24(?)ball unit, stores nicely and is extremely powerful.

RE: Feasible deal - new MH trade on new MH??

Not to be offensive, but you are delusional! Why would a dealer trade even for a unit with 6,000 miles on it that is now used? Don't embarrass yourself asking. Obviously someone has to pay for the 6,000 miles you drove. He made a profit on it when you bought it that you are going to lose. He is going to make a profit on the new one or why do the deal. That still does not take into account the loss in value because it is now used instead of new. I have had people in the past ask the same thing with cars and all I could do is shake my head. If he traded for $20,000, it would be a fabulous deal for you! It's difficult not taking being called delusional personal. And good for me I am not easily embarrassed or I would not have amassed the many holdings in real estate I now own with very little capital because I worked deals everyone said I was crazy to even try. To me, not asking and potentially missing an opportunity is delusional. Because I need to be educated. I want to know if this is a viable deal. Fine if it's not, and they can laugh if they want, no skin off my nose, but I did not get where I am financially but keeping my mouth shut and not asking questions. When it's all said and done, deal or no deal I will no more than I did on how the game is played. And that my friend, whether I yield it now or later will pay in dividends. Perfect response. It never hurts to ask, some said we were crazy, we asked, and got a great deal on ours. Good Luck.

RE: fiberglass replair on class a

i know i posted this message because 3 individuals responded. not sure how it works in terms of being able to respond back to those who respond to your message---perhaps a little help would be appreciated. original message asked in there were any good recommendations for fiberglass (filon) repair body shops in either MD/PA/WV or Del. i live in western maryland and need to get some blisters repaired on my 08 alfa. it requires a body shop which has worked with fiberglass laminated on laun(sp) wood backing. this is used on the sidewalls of the motorhome. filon is a fiberglass material which uses the wood backing for strength. any help with the above two issues greatly appreciated. thanks again Go to any marina that has a "body" repair shop, they're more knowledgeable than any automotive body shop and most rv repair shops. They work with gel coats all the time, which is the smooth finish on your coach.

RE: Class A gassers

Whats your take on this ? Happy motoring You're looking quite uneducated, is my take on this. Or just trolling for an argument. By design diesels run hotter.

RE: Diesel Pushers Looking For Info

Obviously you haven't been in a gasser, at least not in the last 10 years or so. If the bed is directly over the engine, HOT. Been there done that. Friends we travel with can barely go in the rear after travelling a few hours, they have basement air which is another ill conceived idea in itself. The heat isn't blowing hot air it's a radiant heat, takes a bit of time to cool. BTW I'm pro-floorplan over anything else. The heat is nothing that the AC can't handle. As far as noise, I would prefer it in the back not up front in gasser so I can't even hear the radio, let alone have a conversation. As far as sleeping, earlier this month I pulled over in a rest area with 106 degree heat outside and the diesel running, jumped into the bed, and had a wonderful, sound cap nap. No issue for me.

RE: Selling MH w/o title in possession.

Sorry to hear you're in that position. If the bank holds the title, wouldn't they have the power to repo and then have control of the sale of the unit, however? Or is it just that they gave loaned you money for the purchase which you have been paying back? If that's the case, or if you can cover the loan with one payment, you could probably then obtain the title from them and then conduct the sale as per usual.. ...But, I'm not a legal expert. There are probably several lawyers or retired lawyers on the forum who can give you better answers than myself. Really, did OP say he was in "dire straits"? NO he simply asked how you sell an item that he owes on. Like others said, happens all the time. Safest, buyer puts money into an Escrow account which you set up. When everything is finalized, title is released. More times than not the buyer is also likely to require financing, in that case the banks do everything behind the scenes. Good Luck.

RE: Is a Class A easier than a TT to camp at Walmart?

We travel with our 3 and 5 year old boys, most of the time we can get them sleeping just before we pull in for a few hours, no getting out and in, just park and sleep. Was a huge factor for us.
